It’s about that time of year again… Chinese New Year, or as many other Asian ethnicities refer to it, Lunar New Year. Lunar New Year is traditionally celebrated by the Chinese, Koreans, Mongolians, Nepalese, Bhutanese and Vietnamese. For the Vietnamese specifically, this annual celebration is referred to as Tết. This might sound familiar because oftentimes, the term Tết is associated with the Tết Offensive.

This year, we’re glad to announce that we are working with UVSA and will be sponsoring the annual Miss Vietnam of Southern California Pageant. We’re creating a brand new design for the pageant sashes and we’ll be sure to post some photos after the event!

This year, Tết is celebrated on Thursday, Februrary 7, 2008 by Vietnamese around the world.
The Tết Festival in Little Saigon, CA is scheduled for February 8-10. And the Miss Vietnam of Southern California Pageant is scheduled for the evening of Friday, February 8.
