Below are a few care tips to ensure you and your graduation stole look the best at commencement!
Hang it up with your cap and gown.
The last thing you want to do is forget your sash during the rush of your big day, so hang it with your other graduation apparel! Hanging up your sash should also naturally remove any wrinkles in the fabric.
If you would like to
iron your sash
, here are suggestions on how to do so (iron at your own risk!)
- Lay your sash flat on an ironing board.
- Instead of directly ironing onto the sash fabric (which you can), use a thin fabric such as a t-shirt and iron onto that.
Don't forget it on graduation day!
We recommend students to paper clip a post-it note to their gown or cap reminding them of their sash!
Take lots of pictures!
