PDF Reader Alternative to Adobe Acrobat: Foxit Reader<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxitsoftware.com\/pdf\/rd_intro.php\">Foxit Reader<\/a> &#8211; http:\/\/www.foxitsoftware.com\/pdf\/rd_intro.php<br \/>\nFoxit Reader is a great free open-source alternative to Adobe Acrobat.\u00a0 While you may be asking yourself, wait Acrobat is free, you&#8217;re right.\u00a0 But Foxit reader runs a lot faster!\u00a0 So if you have an older computer or just have a lot of things running on your computer at once, Foxit Reader might just be a great alternative for you.<\/p>\n<h3>2. The Microsoft Office Alternative: Open Office<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.openoffice.org\/\">Open Office<\/a> &#8211; http:\/\/www.openoffice.org\/<br \/>\nOpen Office is essentially a free version of Microsoft Office.\u00a0 You can open and modify almost anything Office can.\u00a0 Enough said?<\/p>\n<h3>3. The Microsoft Outlook Alternative: Thunderbird<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mozilla.com\/en-US\/thunderbird\/\">Thunderbird<\/a> &#8211; http:\/\/www.mozilla.com\/en-US\/thunderbird\/<br \/>\nIf you&#8217;re one of those people who receives dozens of emails a day, then Thunderbird is for you.\u00a0 Keeping your email organized will save you a lot of time and be beneficial in the long run.\u00a0 Check out Thunderbird before dropping some cash on Microsoft Outlook.<\/p>\n<h3>4. The Symantec Antivirus Alternative: Avast!<\/h3>\n<p><a title=\"Avast!\" href=\"http:\/\/www.avast.com\/\">Avast! Anti-Virus<\/a> &#8211; http:\/\/www.avast.com\/<br \/>\nIf you purchased a new computer recently, odds are that a trial version of Norton Antivirus or McAffee are already installed on your computer.\u00a0 Thing is, that trials will run out.\u00a0 So when they do, instead of spending money on renewing the subscriptions, check out Avast!\u00a0 Avast! Home Edition is free and runs great.\u00a0 It&#8217;s quick and does not slow down your computer.<br \/>\nNote: If you plan to install Avast! or any other software, you should make sure to uninstall your existing anti-virus software.\u00a0 You really don&#8217;t want 2 anti-virus programs running on your computer at the same time.<\/p>\n<h3>5.
