So you\u2019ve just finished up four tumultuous years of college and chances are you\u2019re broke.\u00a0 If you\u2019re lucky enough to have a family that wants to celebrate your huge accomplishment then you\u2019re going to have a party.\u00a0 Don\u2019t feel guilty about the gifts you receive.\u00a0 Chances are some of your relatives will give you more money that you could have imagined.\u00a0 Be gracious and thank them properly.\u00a0 Your older relatives are recognizing your accomplishments and know that you probably have little to no money left after four years in school and not working.\u00a0 Besides putting the bulk of the money in your savings account, here are a few more ideas for you graduation money:<\/p>\n

  1. Take a trip.\u00a0 Think about it: when will you have a chance to go anywhere in the world with nothing holding you back.\u00a0 If you don\u2019t have a job that you\u2019re starting right away then this is the perfect time to go away for a week or two.\u00a0 When you start working you\u2019re going to have precious few vacation days at your disposal so take advantage of this opportunity.\u00a0 If you still have your student identification card then you can probably cash in on some deals that are offered only to students.<\/li>\n
  2. Treat your parents to a nice dinner.\u00a0 You always hear about parents taking their kids out to a nice dinner after graduation ceremonies, turn the tables and take them out.\u00a0 They\u2019ll resist you paying but let them know it\u2019s not going to be a common occurrence and they\u2019ll gladly go.<\/li>\n
  3. Buy a suit.\u00a0 You\u2019re going to need a suit for your job interviews and it\u2019s worth it to a buy a nice one instead of the one you\u2019ve had for years that you only wear to weddings and funerals.\u00a0 Consider it an investment in your future.\u00a0 Remember you can only a make a first impression once.<\/li>\n
  4. Get the work done on your car that it needs.\u00a0 Wherever you start working you\u2019re going to need reliable wheels.\u00a0 While you have a little dough it\u2019s time to take care of your car instead of waiting until you\u2019re making a meager salary.\u00a0 You\u2019ll be happy you took care of it early on.<\/li>\n
  5. Upgrade your wardrobe.\u00a0 This is the best time to go on a guilt-free shopping spree.\u00a0 Feel free to go to the mall with carte blanche.\u00a0 Buy clothes for all seasons while you have the chance to spend freely.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
