It was made of wood and weighed 700lbs.<\/li>\n<li>The famous New Year\u2019s song Auld Lang Syne translates roughly to \u201cthe good old days.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>The first New York New Years celebration was commemorated in 1904 by a fireworks display.<\/li>\n<li>46 percent of Americans make New Years Resolutions.
